Pontypridd Welsh Liberal Democrats

Mike

Mike Powell will be the Welsh Liberal Democrat candidate for the Pontypridd constituency for the Assembly election next May.

The Trallwn Councillor stood at the General Election earlier this year and made a massive dent in the Labour majority bringing it down from over 13,000 to less than three thousand. He says he is delighted to have yet again earned the backing of his colleagues and looks forward to the challenge

The result this May clearly showed that the tide has turned in this area. People are waking up to the way that Labour has let us down and want change.

This is a very diverse constituency with a wide range of issues that need to be addressed. Whilst the town of Pontypridd is an important lynch pin for the whole of the county, the constituency is much wider and people as far afield as Tonyrefail and Pontyclun must not feel neglected

Only Mike and the Welsh Liberal Democrats can break the Labour stranglehold here - nobody else is anywhere near making a real challenge.

Together we really can make a difference.
